Boat yard The Launch Marina

[Under Construction]

Thunder at Nelsons Marine in Alameda, CA July 18th-28th

Thunder spent 10 days in the boat yard, and thanks to the help of my family and friends, we were able to get the following done:

bulletClean out many years worth of garbage out of the boat.
bulletRemove all the exterior deck fitting, winches and teak railing.
bulletInstall new exhaust manifold and starter to the engine.
bulletRepair two holes in the hull from when Thunder fell over in her cradle in Michigan.
bulletInstall bilge pumps and new batteries.
bulletCheck and rewire many parts of the electrical system.
bulletMake new spreaders, and rewire the mast.
bulletPrep and paint the entire hull for bottom paint and LPU for the top sides. (This was the tough one!)

Many many, many, and many more thanks go out to:

bulletAndre, The sanding, grinding, and teak destroying Russian!
bulletTimmy, Sanding like a mad man, and crawling all over in the engine compartment.
bulletDean, great at grinding, and yet a gentle touch for the painting.
bulletKatya and Dave,  Teak destruction, engine work, and boy did that prop turn out nice.
bulletYuri, thanks for helping to yank out all the sail track railing!
bulletLaura and Cynthia,  any hotter looking sanding girls I can't remember!!
bulletMatt, thanks for figuring out how to get the wiring through the mast, and isn't bottom paint fun to mix?
bulletMike, thanks for not letting me cut any corners!!
bulletMani, She was out there with me nearly every day!!!  Thanks a million!!!!  Boy it is great to have an unemployed sister!!!  hehe.
bulletCasper (aka stinky mutt), although he didn't do anything but stink up the boat, I know he would have helped if he could!!
bulletThanks to all the others that helped and without whom I couldn't have gotten this far!!!

Boy I feel like I just won an Oscar!!
